The Forgot your username? link and Forgot your password? link display only if you entered a unique LINQ EP user name and password when creating your LINQ EP account. If your LINQ EP system administrator instructed you to use a network user name and password, these links are not displayed.
When the Password Expiration utility is implemented, and:
The user logs in to LINQ EP with a unique LINQ EP user name and password (user created), the message ""Your password has expired. Please use the LINQ Employee Portal forgot your password link in order to reset your password." displays.
LDAP is implemented, and a user with permission to bypass LDAP authentication (e.g., the user is no longer employed by the district) logs in to LINQ EP with a unique LINQ EP user name and password, the message "Your password has expired. An e-mail has been sent to you in order to reset your password." The user will receive a Reset Your Password e-mail notification that contains a Reset Your Password link.
The Password Expiration utility is disabled for users that log in using their network user name and password (i.e., LDAP is implemented).
The Create an account link is not displayed if the Hide the Create an Account Link security option is selected by the LINQ EP system administrator.
The following message will display if the database is not available: “LINQ Employee Portal is currently unavailable due to the database being down. Please try again later.” Please contact your LINQ EP administrator for assistance, if needed.
An employee with a LINQ ERP user account may access LINQ Employee Portal (LINQ EP) directly from LINQ ERP if this function is implemented by your district. For security purposes, each user with access to LINQ ERP is responsible for maintaining their LINQ EP User ID and password in the Single Sign-on page – AMSIG01A in LINQ ERP.
Contact your system administrator for more information and assistance with Single Sign On.
Two Factor Authentication provides a second layer of security to the LINQ EP software solution. When Two Factor Authentication is implemented in LINQ ERP, the user must complete these steps to log in to LINQ EP:
Install the Authenticator app on your phone.
Check with your organization to determine the Authenticator app to install. LINQ prefers and officially supports Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator.
Follow the steps provided by your administrator to set up 2-Step Verification for the LINQ Employee Portal.
|
Note: If allowed by the district, the user can turn off Two Factor Authentication temporarily on a specific device. The system administrator sets the temporary time limit. When the time limit expires, the user must log in to LINQ EP using the Two Factor Authentication process. |
Click here for LINQ EP login instructions when Two Factor Authentication is implemented.
After creating an LINQ EP user account (or receiving a user account from your LINQ EP administrator), follow these steps to log in to LINQ EP.
A list of certifications with an approaching expiration date displays if this is the first time you logged into LINQ EP on the current day and your organization has implemented the automated Notifications process.

User-created LINQ EP Account (LDAP not implemented) If logging in with a unique LINQ EP user name and password (user created):
LDAP Implemented The Password Expiration utility is disabled for users that log in to LINQ EP using their network user name and password. However, if a user is one identified to bypass LDAP authentication (e.g., user no longer employed by district), the message "Your password has expired. An e-mail has been sent to you in order to reset your password." will display, and the user will receive a Reset Your Password notification e-mail. Security Questions If the security questions and corresponding answers linked to your user account are not defined, the User Account Security Questions/Answers page automatically displays. You must define the three Personal Questions and Answers before you can access LINQ EP. When finished, click the Network Login Provided by your Network Administrator If your district requires a network-based user name and password to log into LINQ EP, and you enter an incorrect user name, the message "The user name or password was n ot recognized." displays. Please contact your network administrator for assistance with this message. |
Click your User Name > Log Out link in the upper right corner of the page.
