Setting Deduction and Benefit Preferences

Use the Deductions and Benefits tab to select the types of deductions and benefits defined in LINQ ERP that employees can view in the LINQ Employee Portal. By default, all deduction and benefit types are available to the employees.

Follow these steps to access the Deductions and Benefits tab:

  1. Click the Preferences linkClick a link to display the corresponding page. Links display with blue text. on the Admin Home page to display the System Settings page.
  2. On the System Settings page, click the Deductions and Benefits tab.

Deduction Types

By default, an employee has access to all deduction types defined in LINQ ERP in the LINQ Employee Portal. Optionally, you can select the deduction types available to the employees by moving a deduction type from the Available Deductions list to the Hidden Deductions list.

To move a deduction type to the Hidden Deductions list

  1. In the Available Deductions list, hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard, and click each deduction type to be hidden from view.
  2. Click the Right Arrow button to move the selected deduction types to the Hidden Deductions list.
  3. Click the button. The message "DedBen Preference Settings Updated" displays.
  4. Click the button to close the dialog box.

To move a hidden deduction type to the Available Deductions list:

  1. In the Hidden Deductions list, hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard, and click each deduction type to be visible to the employees.
  2. Click the Left Arrow button to move the selected deduction types to the Available Deductions list.
  3. Click the button.  The message "DedBen Preference Settings Updated" displays.
  4. Click the button to close the dialog box.

 

Benefit Types

By default, an employee has access to all benefit types defined in LINQ ERP in the LINQ Employee Portal. Optionally, you can select the benefit types available to the employees by moving a benefit type from the Available Benefits list to the Hidden Benefits list.

To move a benefit type to the Hidden Benefits list

  1. In the Available Benefits list, hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard, and click each benefit type to be hidden from view.
  2. Click the Right Arrow button to move the selected benefit types to the Hidden Benefits list.
  3. Click the button.  The message "DedBen Preference Settings Updated" displays.
  4. Click the button to close the dialog box.

To move a hidden deduction type to the Available Benefits list:

  1. In the Hidden Benefits list, hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard, and click each benefit type to be visible to the employees.
  2. Click the Left Arrow button to move the selected benefit types to the Available Benefits list.
  3. Click the button.  The message "DedBen Preference Settings Updated" displays.
  4. Click the button to close the dialog box.
