Touring the System Settings Page

Use the Preferences link to define and modify system-wide settings for LINQ EP. You can use these methods to access this page:

Click the Preferences linkClick a link to display the corresponding page. Links display with blue text. in the Navigation MenuThe Navigation Menu displays at the top of the page. It contains the links to which the you have access. Click a link to open the page associated with that link. Your user name and password will determine the links that display. on the Admin Home page
Click a link in the Settings section of the Admin Home page

Your assigned user role will determine the options available on this page. For example, users assigned to an LINQ EP administrator role may have access to change the system preferences whereas a user assigned an HR staff user role may only have access to enter a leave request for an employee.

Request Setup	Click the Request Setup link to customize each request queue to match your organization’s business practices. You can select the request options that are available to your employees.	Setting Up the Request Queues
E-mail Setup	Click the E-mails link to configure the e-mail server and modify customize system-generated e-mail messages: E-mail messages sent to administrative users and employees when a user name or password is requested, or when an employee creates a new account. E-mail sent to approvers and employees after an employee request is submitted to the approval hierarchy; to remind approvers to process outstanding requests for approval; and to send a list of outstanding requests awaiting approval to the LINQ EP administrator. All e-mail notification messages are sent from the LINQ EP Administrator e-mail address defined on the General Preferences page. Site Colors	Click the Site Colors link to set the color defaults for the LINQ Employee Portal pages.	Customizing the Colors of the LINQ Employee Portal Pages
Feature Availability	Click the Feature Availability link to identify the pages available in the Employee Interface.	Defining the LINQ Employee Portal Features Available to the User
Preferences	Click the Preferences link to define the following default settings: General, Accounts, Logos, Dates, Deductions & Benefits, Leaves, Locations, Payroll, Notifications, and Automated Tasks. Click the Preference Type Drop-down List button to go to a preference page.
