Setting the Employee Date Display Preferences
Use the Dates tab to:

Grant permission for employee's to view dates assigned to their employee record in LINQ ERP. These dates display on the Date tab in the My Current Information box on the Home page. An employee will see only the dates that apply to their employee record in LINQ ERP.

Identify the types of dates that may display on the Dates tab.
A date type must exist in Date Types page – HMDTE01A to add that date type to the Employee Date Type gridA grid is a table that may display in the Center Pane. The grid will list records that apply to the selected link..

Tips: When using Internet Explorer (IE), the user must clear the cache in order to view the new logos on the applicable pages.

Follow these steps to access the Dates tab:
- Click the Preferences linkClick a link to display the corresponding page. Links display with blue text. on the Admin Home page to display the System Settings page.
- On the System Settings page, click the Dates tab.
Adding an Employee Date Type
Follow these steps to add date types to the Employee Date Types grid.
- In the Employee Date Types grid, click the
button. The Add/Edit Employee Date Type page displays.
- Click the Magnifying Glass button
to display the Select A Date Type page. This page lists all date type records with an active status defined in LINQ ERP program HMDTE01A – Date Types.
- Click a Date Type from the list to populate the Add/Edit Employee Date Type form.
- Optionally, in the Date Label Override field, type the date type label that will display on the Dates tab. Leave this field blank to display the date type description from Date Types page on the Dates tab.
- Click the
button. The message "Employee Date Type Successfully Added/Updated" displays.
- Click the
button to close the message. The Date Type displays in the Employee Date Types grid.
Modifying an Employee Date Types
Follow these steps to change the Date Label Override field assigned to a date type.
- In the Employee Date Types grid, click the Edit icon
that corresponds to the date type to be changed. The Add/Edit Employee Date Type page displays.
- Change the Date Label Override field.
- Click the
button. The message "Employee Date Type Successfully Added/Updated" displays.
- Click the
button to close the message. The Date Label Override displays for the Date Type in the Employee Date Types grid.
Deleting an Employee Date Type from the Grid
In the Employee Date Types grid, click the Delete icon
that corresponds to the date type to be deleted from the grid. The date type is removed from the grid.
Displaying the Dates Tab on the Home Page
- Populate the Employee Date Types grid.
- Click to select the Display Employee Dates check box to display the Dates tab in the Current Information box on the Home page.
