Setting the Event Preferences

Use the Events tab to select:

Accessing the Event Preference Page

Follow these steps to access the System Settings > Events tab:

  1. Click the Preferences link on the Admin Home page to display the System Settings page.

  2. On the System Settings page, click the Events tab.

  3. Define the event categories and events in each category that can be viewed on the Events page. Refer to these sub topics:

  6. Click the button to save the event preference settings. The message "Event Preferences Updated" displays.

  7. Click the button to close the dialog box.

Selecting the Available/Hidden Event Categories

By default, an employee has access to all event categories and events defined in Alio in the LINQ Employee Portal. Optionally, select the event categories available to the employees by moving an event category from the Available Event Categories list to the Hidden Event Categories list.

To move an event category to the Hidden Events Categories list:

  1. In the Available Events Categories list, hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard, and click each event category to be hidden from view.

  2. Click the Right Arrow button to move the selected event categories to the Hidden Events Categories list.

  3. Click the button.  The message "Event Preferences Updated" displays.

  4. Click the button to close the dialog box.

To move a hidden event category to the Available Events Categories list:

  1. In the Hidden Events Categories list, hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard, and click each event category to be visible to the employees.

  2. Click the Left Arrow button to move the selected event categories to the Available Events Categories list.

  3. Click the button. The message "Event Preferences Updated" displays.

  4. Click the button to close the dialog box.

Editing an Event Category

The Event Categories grid displays the event categories available in Alio. Use this grid to select a category to hide or display the event codes included in the event category on the Events page when that event category displays in the Available Event Categories list.

An event category displayed in the Hidden Event Categories list displays in Red text in the grid. The Hidden Event Codes column displays a Y when event codes assigned to a category are hidden from the employees' view in the Events page.

To edit an event category:

  1. In the Event Categories grid, click the Edit icon the corresponds to the event category to be modified. The Event Category Preferences page appears.

Note: The Event Category, Description, and Hidden status fields are display only and cannot be changed.
