Touring the User Page

Click the Name link displayed in the upper right corner to display your LINQ EP User Role and LINQ ERP User Information. When this page is displayed, you can:

• Click the LINQ ERP User Information > User ID link to change the LINQ ERP user ID displayed if you have access to multiple user IDs in LINQ ERP.
• Click the LINQ ERP User Information > User Role link to change the LINQ ERP Role displayed if you have access to multiple user roles in LINQ ERP.
• Click the Account link to change these items. Go to the Personalizing Your Account Settings topic for more information.

  • Current Password
  • Security Questions

• If you are assigned a System Administrator role in LINQ EP, you may have access to these options if granted access by the LINQ EP system administrator. Support uses these tools to research LINQ EP issues. Please contact your support representative for more information.

Changing your LINQ ERP User ID and/or User Role

Use LINQ ERP User Information > User ID link or User Role link to change the LINQ ERP User ID and/or User Role currently selected if you have access to multiple user IDs and/or user roles in LINQ ERP. Changing the LINQ ERP User ID and/or User Role will change the data available to you in LINQ EP. Changing the LINQ ERP User ID might also require changing the User Role.

For example:

• The current LINQ ERP User ID has access to the SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR User Role. The updated LINQ ERP User ID does not have access to the SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR User Role; therefore you must change the User Role prior to exiting the LINQ ERP User Information page.
• An ACCOUNTING User Role allows you to access financial account data. Therefore, the Account Inquiry link will display in the Menu Bar when the User Role is set to ACCOUNTING.
• A PERSONNEL User Role does not allow you to access financial account data. Therefore, the Account Inquiry link will not display in the Menu Bar when the User Role is set to PERSONNEL.

To change the LINQ ERP user ID and/or user role:

1. Click the User ID link or User Role link under the LINQ ERP User Information page. The LINQ ERP User Information section opens.

2. If applicable, in the User ID field, click the List of Values button to change the LINQ ERP User ID displayed on the User page.

3. If applicable, in the User Role field, click the List of Values button to change the User Role displayed on the User page. The List of Values displays only User Roles linked to the User ID.

4. Click the Save button.

5. Close the User page to refresh the Menu Bar. The Account Inquiry link displays if the User Role allows you to access the Account Inquiry page. The Account Inquiry link remains hidden if the User Roles does not allow you access the Account Inquiry page.
